About Me
I've been a foster parent for !3 years. All of my skills are self-taught. I am the perfect example that you don't have to have a degree to succeed. I do by the way have real training and life credits in addition to going to the school of hard knocks.
I have learned, follow your intuition and your dreams.
I have seven children ... and I have three grand daughters and six grandsons.I have learned that Foster Parenting experience is like no other family life experience. Love is not enough, children in foster care have special needs and wounds that need a special touch..
Foster parents do not just foster a child -- they foster a system.
When I became a Foster parent, little did I know all the ins ~ outs of this. Not only was I opening my home to strangers, but also my heart..
By doing so I filled our home with beautiful children, but it came at a cost.
According to Oregon Law my home is at its full compactly.
My home is closed to any other placements.
I feel at a loss knowing this chapter of my life has come to an end, that is serving as a Foster Parent.
I know the need is great out there;
My thoughts and prayers will always be with you all with the endeavor to keep our children safe!!
Tell the team "I will miss them"!
